Scandinavian Christmas Market - Albion Street, Rotherhithe
It's nice and cold and there is a bit of drizzle in the air so it must be time for the Scandi Market! You won't get cold there because you can warm up with mulled wine and hot chocolate and there are so many people that you can huddle like penquins or musk oxen.
However, if you still feel a bit nippy then call in at the Arthur Beale stand for a spendid new Norwegian classic pullover or set of merino expedition quality merinos. It is a great atmosphere and it is the perfect way to get a bit of Christmas shopping out of the way.
The market opens on Friday 23rd November at 12:00 (Yes this Friday!) and closes on Sunday evening. Nearest tube is Rotherhithe, although strictly speaking that's an overground, but it is in a tunnel nevertheless and no ordinary tunnel but no less than Brunnels tunnel! If you are pedantic and actually want the nearest real tube then Canada Water is about a ten minute walk away. After the market you can find a fine pint at the Mayflower Pub overlooking the river. See you there!
