Arthur Beale are one of the United Kingdoms oldest chandlers, tracing our history back 500 years.
Our history is rather wonderful, we were an important supplier to expeditions. Amongst our clients were Gino Watkins and Sir Ernest Shackleton, we know this because we still have an old telegram from Gino Watkins and the signed order from Shackleton. Shackleton’s Arthur Beale ice axe is now in the National Maritime Museum.
We even put the flag pole on Buckingham Palace, and Arthur Beale himself broke the flag at the Coronation of King George VI.
