Firstly, bleary eyed, I log onto the Zoe Covid app to make my daily report to find that cases in my area having been dropping rapidly. Well that has to be a great start to the day!
Then, warily, I log on to the Ineos Team UK website to find out how Britannia is doing in the Prada Cup. Ben Ainslie's boat had been really struggling in all the warm up races, finding it hard to get up on those foils in light winds. But the backstage team had been busy changing the mast, sails and rudder..... and, stone the crows, to my great surprise the boat goes and thrashes American Magic by over a minute!
Such was the dramatic change in performance, that the big question has to be "Where did they hide those sandbags?"
For icing on the cake, I then find they beat the Italians too - but I'm saving watching that race for this evening.
Right now at 09:45 I am tuning in to hear the the live verdict in the Supreme Court to find out if the insurance companies are going to pay out, or wriggle out, of coughing up for our Business Interruption Insurance covering infectious deceases.
And the result was..... TBA!
Well I didn't understand much of that declaration but according the the BBC it looks like we have won!
Not a bad start to the day!
