Arthur Beale says:
These new Hanse burners are based on the much loved old Portuguese four legged burners. They are now being made for Taylors on the latest machinery in Germany to exacting standards. When the Portuguese burners were no longer available, a robust two legged version was introduced. They are great burners but require a lot of heat to start them. If you have a two leg burner we would recommend keeping the pressure lower than usual and then using a blow lamp for about 50 seconds, then they light easily and burn beautifully. If you are still using meths then the tray must be completely full.
These new four legged burners should light more easily.
