Flying 10 by Johnson and Loftus - Stop Press! THEY WON!!!

Our friends Tim and Dan have just built this lovely Flying 10 which they will be exhibiting at the Dinghy Show this weekend. Another successful evening!

On Thursday evening we had a virtually full house to hear Philip Temple talking about the adventurous expedition that he took part in to land on the remote Antarctic Heard Island and then climb its 9,000ft volcano which happens to be the highest peak in Australian Terriory. The yacht was skippered by none other than H. W. Tilman. Thames Traditional Boat Festival - this weekend!

Friday 15th until Sunday 17th July This is our first time at the Traditional Boat Festival in Henley but everyone assures us that it is a fantastic event. There will be acres of gleaming varnish and polished bronze to admire plus bands and steam boats and even a fly past of Spitfires! We are really looking forward to it. Come and pick up a bargain or just say hello. We hope to see you there!

Come and watch an East Coast Feature Film Tonight (Thursday 9th)!

This film was highly recommended by Marc who has sneakily ended up being unable to attend the showing. Sadly, if you don't like the film, you'll have no one to throw your tomatoes at in the traditional manner. Don't worry though, I have watched it just in case there were any really dodgy bits and I actually enjoyed it. There are a few cheesy scenes but you soon relax into the story.
